Bevezető
TransAM segít Önnek szövegeket fordítani. Jelenleg segíteni tud angol szövegek németre vagy magyarra fordításánál és német vagy magyar szövegek angolra fordításánál. Egy egyszerű és bővíthető szótárat is tartalmaz.
TransAM Win95 vagy magasabb illetve WindowsNt 4.0 vagy magasabb alatt fut, 4MB memóriát igényel, a program 700 kB-ot, minden nyelvpár pedig 2.5MB tárolót foglal el a merevlemezen.
TransAM a Windows (ISO) betűket használja (ez a magyar szövegeknél fontos),
TransAM csak szöveg (.txt) fájlokat tud kezelni. Ha az Ön szövege más formátumban van (pl .doc), akkor kérem konvertálja azt előbb a szövegszerkesztő segítségével .txt fájllá. Konvertálásnál válassza ki a windows betűket (ne a DOS betűket).
TransAM nem produlál kész fordítást. Azok a programok, amelyek azt állítják, hogy erre képesek, hazudnak. Például a race szó a biológiai fajt jelenti vagy versenyt (többek között). Ha egy úgynevezett 'fordítóprogram' az egyik jelentést kiválasztja, és ez a jelentés nem illik az Ön szövegösszefüggésébe, akkor Önnek egy szótár segítségével meg kell a helyes jelentést találni, ami időigényes lehet. TransAm viszont a race szó minden lehető jelentését megadja és Ön határozhatja el, hogy melyik a helyes jelentés, szótár használata nélkül. TransAM mondat orientáltan dolgozik, azaz megmutatja a mondatot és abban minden szóhoz tartozó fordítási segítséget egy pillantásra. Ez segít Önnek a mondat jelentésének megfejtésében ahelyett hogy az egyes szavakhoz kötődne. Ez a két sajátosság Önnek nagyon sok időt fog megtakarítani (nekem már nagyon sokat takarított meg).
Egyszerűen adhat és törölhet szavakat TransAM szótárjábólés egy nem fordítandó szavak listáját is tartalmaz, amelyben olyan szavak vannak, mint a 'the', 'a' és hasonlók, amelyeket szinte senki sem kíván lefordíttatni. Ez a lista is könnyen bővíthető illetve szavak könnyen törölhetők róla.
Fordítás után rögtön meg lehet nézni az eredményeket és a statisztikát.
Introduction
TransAM helps you to translate texts. Currently it can help to translate English texts into German or Hungarian and German or Hungarian texts into English. It also provides a simple but effective and enhanceable dictionary.
TransAM runs under Win95 or higher or WindowsNt 4.0 or higher.
It needs 4MB Memory to run and takes 700 kB for the program and 2.5MB for each language on your hard disk.
TransAm uses the Windows (ISO) Latin 1 characterset (important for Hungarian texts).
TransAM can handle only text files (*.txt). If you have a document in another format (e.g *.doc), please convert it first using your word processor into a *.txt file. Define windows character set (no DOS).
TransAM will not produce a final translation. Programs saying they can do that, lie. For instance, the word race means biological race and championship (among other things). If a so called 'translation program' decides for one of the meanings and this meaning is not the right one (does not fit into your text context), you must use an other dictionary to find the right meaning for your context, that can be rather time-consuming. TransAM, on the other hand, gives you all potential meanings of the word race and you can decide, which of those is the right one without using the dictionary. TransAM works sentence oriented, e.g. it shows each sentence and the translation help that belongs to that sentence at a glance. This helps to find out the meaning of a sentence rather than to be stick to single words. These two features will save for you (and saved me already) a tremendous amount of time.
You can also easily add new words to TransAM's vocabulary or delete words from it. TransAM also supports a trivial words list, that contains words like 'the', 'a' and the like, that you don't want to get translated. You can add or delete words easily from this list.
You can immediatly see the results or statistics.
