Prologue

This picture collection is an appendix to my cookbook Healthful food for gourmets. (It can be found in the Kun Electronic Library at http://kunlibrary.com ) In this work I introduced the characteristics of all of the continental vegetables and fruit. But because a picture is worth a thousand word I have compiled the best pictures I could find for each fruit and, for easier identification, I also included their Latin names. At the same time their most common international names and the variations of those are presented as well. Unfortunately, at this time, only the Latin, Hungarian, English and German list is complete. Lack of time and money hinders my translation efforts. The review of the temperate zone vegetables and fruits on the different parts of the cookbook can be found. The plainest manner of their achievement, that we write their Latin name in the searching window of Word program. I hereby would like to take the opportunity to thank all those amateur gardeners, tourists, amateur and professional photographers who took and subsequently posted these pictures to the Internet. Without their tireless work this collection would have never been possible. It is my hope that all interested will benefit from my work and that they don't have to spend months looking through books and searching the Internet trying to find the correct name and picture for each fruit they are interested in. If a mistake or omission is found please let me know so I can make the necessary correction or addition. I also welcome new photographs of any fruit already included that would make this collection even better. Of course the list is by no means final, the addition of any new vegetable-fruit that is delicious, tasty, appetizing, in a word appealing to the readers, welcomed.

Előszó

Ez a képgyűjtemény az Egészségkímélő ételek ínyenceknek című szakácskönyvem melléklete. (A Kun Elektronikus Könyvtárban található. Cím: http://kunlibrary.com ) Ebben a műben az összes kontinentális zöldség és gyümölcs jellegzetességeit ismertettem. A kép azonban százszor beszédesebb a leghosszabb leírásnál is, ezért egybegyűjtöttem az egyes zöldségek-gyümölcsök legjobban sikerült fotóit, és a könnyebb azonosítás végett itt is feltüntettem mellettük a latin nevüket. Egyúttal megadtam a nagy világnyelveken ismert nevüket, névváltozataikat. Sajnos egyelőre csak a latin, a magyar, az angol és a német lista teljes. Idő és pénz hiányában a többi nyelvre történő fordításra várni kell. A mérsékelt égövi zöldségek és gyümölcsök ismertetése a szakácskönyv különböző részein találhatók. Elérésük legegyszerűbb módja, hogy a Word program kereső ablakába beírjuk a latin nevüket. Ez úton szeretném megköszönni azoknak a hobbikertészeknek, turistáknak, amatőr- és hivatásos fotósoknak a munkáját, akik ezeket a képeket elkészítették és feltették az Internetre. Áldozatos tevékenységük nélkül ez a gyűjtemény nem jöhetett volna létre. Remélem, hogy sok érdeklődőnek hasznára válik ez az album, és nekik már nem kell hónapokig keresgélniük az egyes elnevezéseket és képeket a különböző szakkönyvekben, s weblapokon. Ha valami hibát, hiányosságot találnak benne, kérem, jelezzék, hogy kijavíthassam. Szívesen fogadok újabb fotókat is, ami még szebbé és informatívabbá tenné ezt a gyűjteményt. A lista újabb zöldségekkel-gyümölcsökkel való kibővítésének sincs akadálya, ha ezek finomak, ízletesek, vagyis nagy érdeklődésre számíthatnak.
