"A systematic paleontological study is carried out on a rich fossil invertebrate fauna collected from the Pliocene Gabir Formation in Egypt. There is a great similarity between these Egyptian forms and those from the Miocene of Europe (Vienna Basin), and the Miocene and Pliocene of East Africa in Tanzania and Kenya."
